Steve Tassie was born and raised in Toronto with brief periods of residence in Montreal, Peterborough and Lindsay. While his official first go at stand-up comedy was back in high school in the late Eighties, he didn't really get into it until 2002. Since that time he has been performing comedy in big and little venues across North America. In 2007 Steve took a break from the stand-up world to become a high school teacher. Yeah, I know, what was he thinking? Now he's back at comedy and the time he spends in the class room only feeds his material and comic dismay for the future.
